Kiln Drying Associations
Throughout the United States, there are kiln associations. These are
groups of kiln operators, lumber companies, academic experts, and
supply companies. There are annual or semiannual meetings that are
basically workshops and presentations on drying issues. Membership dues
are generally very low, often $10./year. The meetings provide kiln
operators the opportunity to meet with other people doing the same
things they are doing, and trading ideas for solutions to problems. If
you are running multiple large kilns, or a single 4,000 board foot
kiln, you can pick up information from other people with experience in
what you are doing. We will attempt to keep this list updated, please
let us know of any errors or updates.
